First Slice 11/16/16: Atlanta's millennial population may have declined over decade

A marketing survey using Census data ranked the city 47th out of 50 for its millennial draw

>> The backlash against President-elect Trump continues, with protests around the country. And in Atlanta Sunday night for about a half hour, the words "Fuck Trump" were projected onto a the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Midtown.

>> Who said Atlanta was drawing in millennials by the boatload? Not Apartment List. The San Francisco-based apartment rental clearinghouse used Census Bureau data to rank Atlanta 47th out of 50 cities around the country when it comes to attracting millennial-aged workers since 2005. Metro Atlanta's millennial population has slipped 6.3 percent in the decade since. Housing affordability was listed among factors that determine a city's draw for young people.
