Crying on the Inside
Tue., Aug. 23, 7 p.m. 2016
From the venue:When temperatures run high, so do emotions — or at least that’s the logic fueling Crying on the Inside, a night of poetry and fiction readings. Though, such a theory does seem promising considering how hot weather can shorten a typically cool-headed person’s fuse, no? Either way, those slated to perform include Adam Robinson, a published writer who also runs both Publishing Genius and Real Pants; poetry and prose press 421 Atlanta’s ringleader Amy McDaniel; and poet Jay Ritchie (How to Appear Perfectly Indifferent While Crying on the Inside), among others. The event should provide the perfect platform for folks to simultaneously absorb literary treats and, you know, emote (but internally). Julia Jones hosts.
