From the venue:The Atlanta LGBT Film and Music Festival makes its debut with three days of movies and music by, for, and about queer people. The festivalâ€™s opening night features the Georgia premiere of Major!, a documentary chronicling the 40 years black transwoman Miss Major Griffin-Gracy has dedicated to the fight for trans WOCs rights. On Saturday, catch Julien Dubuque International Film Festival selection A Road to Home, the heartwrenching stories of six homeless LGBT youths whose families have rejected them. Send the festival off at a dance party at Woodruff Park hosted by YouTube sensation Amber (from Amberâ€™s Closet) and self-proclaimed Big Dick Bitch Ts Madison. Saturdayâ€™s closing lineup includes performances by Atlanta native Miloh Smith, New York Cityâ€™s Tish Hyman, Bryâ€™nt of Hartford, Connecticut, and more.
