Peachtree Road Race
Fri., July 4, 6:45 a.m. 2014
From the venue:From its beginnings in 1970 as a group of 110 runners, the Peachtree Road Race has grown into the largest 10K in the world. More than 50,000 participants line up to try their hand at crossing the finish line and nabbing a coveted Peachtree T-shirt. The race has transformed from a beloved Fourth of July tradition into a holiday celebration just as near and dear to Atlanta’s heart as fireworks and cookouts. The race starts in Buckhead near Lenox Square mall and ends in Piedmont Park.
