The ASO turns 70 this year, and in celebration music director Robert Spano and Co. present three world premieres including two works by Atlanta School of Composers members Christopher Theofanidis and Michael Gandolfi, plus a composition by Jonathan Leshnoff. The 2014-2015 season opens on Sept. 25 with a program that includes Mozart’s Symphony No. 35, “Haffner,” and Strauss’s Don Juan and Till Eulenspiegel. In addition, pianist Jeremy Denk will join the ASO for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20.
