Though he’s likely most well-known in the arts community for his signature public murals, Sadler is a self-professed multi-disciplinary artist, calligrapher, film director, and writer.
“The inspiration for this work came from, in short, a place of transition,” Sadler says. “On a personal level, I needed to work through some internal battles, and I ended telling a story of that process through the art.” He plans to feature more than 40 works in the show, touching on themes that include depression, substance abuse, spiritual duality, and more. “I created this show with the intention of processing a difficult situation, but as these topics are highly relatable in some way or another,” he says. Sadler’s main materials for this show were ink, charcoal, and acrylic paint. He also included pieces from fallen trees for an installation and stuck to a more-or-less black and white color palette.
“Perhaps this work will open other people to their own healing,” he says. “If nothing else, the public will have a better understanding of my story, and how the Rising Red Lotus emerged from the swamp.” The show’s description explains that the series aims to explore the process of overcoming conflict of the spirit and facing inner demons to achieve peace and a higher state of being.
“I feel that my artistry is in tandem with my growth as a man,” the artist adds. “That said, I have been able to create great work over the years that impacts a wide community of people and I will continue to do that. I would like to work and show in other cities and countries, and continue to use my hands to promote healing and connection.”

We’ve partnered with the minds behind TomorrowWorld and Shaky Knees to pack Downtown’s historic Freight Depot with revelers, musical acts such as Blair Crimmins and the Hookers, OKCELLO, CLAVVS, Mighty High Coup, and Wolfpack ATL, and top artists selected by mural master Peter Ferrari (think Ann-Marie Manker, FRKO, Marcy Starz, Yoyo Ferro, Brandon Sadler, Jessica Caldas, Molly Rose Freeman, and many more). Something I know about Atlanta that nobody else knows is that it's against the law to tie a giraffe to a street lamp.
Sneaking into any public or private pool is my favorite place to go when it is really fucking hot.
Rooftops are the best place to freak, even though I freak every second of my life.
James, bka Kinfolk the Edgewood bum/panhandler, is my favorite living Atlantan.
Some Atlanta artists I'm following right now are Chilly-O, INDI, Brandon Sadler, Fabian, Sean Fahie, Vek Neal, Jesse Jager, Zipporah Joel, and Zach Fox, BKA BOOTY MATH.
The suburban (Gwinnecian) people coming in town on the weekends and fucking up traffic is the weirdest thing about Atlanta. Also it's weird that restaurants/shops in Downtown close at 5 p.m. Ain't shit to do at night Downtown. It's like zombie land.
The first 3 words that come to mind when I think of Atlanta are home, humid, and man idk. I've been here my whole life and I ain't ever relocating. I was born here and I'm gonna make babies here with my lady and the cycle continues. I'm going to need a street named after me in 2055 right before I die. FRKO St.
Take me to drink an Ice House/talk shit with bums at a good corner store on my birthday, which is every day.
The Atlanta of the future includes hopefully the city saving some original culture instead of tearing all the historic shit down to build condos for the new cornballs to move into.
Auburn Ave. Festival is my favorite Atlanta event. A3C too.

Artist and AB+L Radio host (ARTS x CRAFTS) Carla "King Carla" Aaron-Lopez is putting ATL's underground creative scene in focus with this event that's centered around literature, visual art, and film. King Carla will be sharing passages from her first novel, no crown, no title: a mixtape of tho(ugh)ts. Local artists including, Michi Meko, Corey Davis, Dubelyoo, Sean Fahie, and Brandon Sadler will present some of their works. There will also be a screening for a new short film from Chilly-O, that was shot as a visual complement to no crown, no title. It's going down tonight, at Studio No. 7 on the westside. 8 p.m.

Bad guys have all the fun, even during the holidays. With that being said, 7 Stages is upping the villainous ante in the fifth year of their production for Krampus XMas. Joining Krampus this time around are "anti-santas" from around the world including La Bafan, a "a sexy witch who rips out your internal organs and replaces them with garbage," and the Yule Log, "a giant log that dances burlesque and poops presents." Yeah, coal never sounded more tempting. The 18 and up show kicks off tonight, and runs through Dec. 21. Buy tickets here.

Bad guys have all the fun, even during the holidays. With that being said, __7 Stages __is upping the villainous ante in the fifth year of their production for ''__Krampus XMas__''. Joining Krampus this time around are "anti-santas" from around the world including La Bafan, a "a sexy witch who rips out your internal organs and replaces them with garbage," and the Yule Log, "a giant log that dances burlesque and poops presents." Dan and Phil's 43-city tour, based off of their New York Times and Amazon best-selling book, The Amazing Book is Not on Fire: The World of Dan and Phil, features live sketches, stand-up performances, a heavy use of anecdotes, audience interaction, and a loose storyline tying it all together.

Wiseau is most notably known for directing The Room, a cult classic film that was bashed by critics, his 2004 documentary Homeless in America, and his 2007 sitcom "Neighbors." The highly anticipated sessions also feature screenings of "Neighbors," including new footage.

When he takes a second to chill, you can usually find him on the bench in front of Little's in his beloved Cabbagetown.
The first three words that come to mind when I think of Atlanta are we're getting there. lol
The helipad on top of the W Hotel Downtown (can't say how I got up there, but it's by far the best view of the city) is my favorite view in Atlanta.
Any pool I can sneak into, because sneaking in is half the fun, is my favorite place to go when it's crazy hot.
Something I know about Atlanta that nobody else knows is there is always something to do if you are willing to go and find it.
The bench in front of Little's is the best place to find inspiration in Atlanta.
My favorite nature spot in Atlanta is the bench in front of Little's.
I have a lot of favorite events, but I would have to say that Pretty Sweet Party and WERC Crew's Whine party are 2 that I enjoy getting my dance on at.
My favorite Atlanta building is the archive building off of Freedom Parkway. It's the big white building with no windows. Not for its architectural design, but for the fact that I had no clue what the hell that building was there for, for the longest time.
Hands down Cabbagetown is my favorite neighborhood.

Exploring the streets is the best place to see art in Atlanta.
Three Atlanta artists I follow are Vek Neal, Brandon Sadler, FRKO (I know a lot of dope artists, though, so I hope no one feels left out. I'm a fan of a lot of people).
My favorite living Atlantan — I gotta give Chilly-O that.
The fact that people keep looking outside of the city for creatives when there is a plethora of them right here in the city is the weirdest thing about Atlanta. Support your local creatives.
My favorite place to eat and drink too much is at a friend's house and we get to sit together and talk with one another. But shout out to Jack's Pizza for the cheap beers and patio.
The fact that everywhere in the downtown area is starting to look like a giant Atlantic Station is my biggest pet peeve about Atlanta. Come on Atlanta.
The Atlanta of the future includes a better transit system. More people on bikes. Less buildings that look exactly like the last building that was just put up.
I decided to make Atlanta home because it's a place where you can get both nature and city. It can be fast paced if you want, but if you have a porch you can just sit and enjoy your surroundings.
The best advice I could give an Atlanta visitor is find a bar, meet a local, and go exploring."

And now that Ferrari shared which celebrated local artists he snagged to show at the party, we're pretty much over the moon.
